Neil Blunt has been married to his wife Elizabeth since 1979, and they have two adult sons.

A former iron foundry worker, teacher, lecturer and economic development officer, he has led a company working with organisations and individuals in the arts, heritage and cultural sector for the last twenty years, helping practitioners turn creative ideas into sustainable businesses.

He has been a director of a wide range of voluntary groups and his personal interests include music, art, reading, walking and cooking.
